Mega Duck Laptop patch for Workboy (Game Boy)
A downloadable game
Duck Duck Workboy
This Romhack allows the fabled Workboy ROM to run on the Mega Duck Laptop and use it's keyboard and Real Time Clock (RTC).
The Mega Duck laptop is a Game Boy clone with minor changes to make it incompatible with Game Boy ROMs. The laptop model has a built-in keyboard and RTC.
The patches do not include the ROM, you must have your own Workboy ROM to apply this modification. The patch is in UPS format. It can be applied using this online patcher (or any other patcher that supports UPS patches) at: https://www.romhacking.net/patch/
Workboy checksums

- SHA-1: 5b20683d09bc3bb57dfdd0ea8b9fa5eda620014f
Playing on console hardware, the patched ROM requires either:
- A MegaDuck Flash Cart with "MD2" + SRAM banking support such as the picoDuck by zwenergy (Requires not yet released MD2 + SRAM firmware)
- Or a Game Boy MBC5 Flash Cart using a MegaDuck Cart Slot Adapter. (Use MBC5 patch)
Playing on console emulators:
The Super Junior Same Duck emulator can also be used to run the ROM. It supports both MD2 + SRAM and MBC5 builds. Use version 1.0.2 or higher.
- For the MD2 + SRAM build make sure to use a
.md2sfile extension to tell the emulator it should enable the SRAM cart in the secondary memory cart slot.workboy.md2s
- For the MBC5 build make sure to use a
.mbc5file extension to tell the emulator to use the mbc5 mapperworkboy.mbc5
